‘Family reunion’ wraps up USC’s Black History Month observance
The celebration — moved indoors at the last minute because of inclement weather — caps off a month of events.
The rain couldnt dampen the spirit or the smiles that vibrantly lit up the Ronald Tutor Campus Center Ballroom during the Black History Month family reunion event Friday afternoon.
Its a beautiful sight to see everybody, have everyone together in celebration of what has been a wonderful Black History Month, USC President Carol L. Folt said. She mentioned the naming of Allyson Felix Field, Nikole Hannah-Jones visit to Bovard and the MLK in Los Angeles exhibit at USC Fisher Museum of Art as highlights of the USCs Black History Month observance.
The family reunion event moved indoors at the last minute due to inclement weather capped off this years celebration that centered on the theme of Reclamation Through Resistance, Rebirth Through Reconciliation.
