Drop, cover and hold on: Trojans take part in Great ShakeOut
The exercise — the largest emergency preparedness drill in the country — has its roots at the USC-based Statewide California Earthquake Center.
Trojans on Thursday dove under their desks at exactly 10:17 a.m. It wasn’t an earthquake, though — it was the annual Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. The drill, which has gone global and is now the nation’s largest disaster preparedness exercise — is an annual event, and has its roots at the USC-based Statewide California Earthquake Center.
