USC Marshall Dean Moderates Panel of Three ‘Young Presidents’
USC Marshall Hosts Co-Founder of MySpace and Other USC Alumni to Kick Off New Branch of Young Presidents Organization / World Presidents Organization Legacy @ Universities, Started by USC Student
USC Marshall Dean James G. Ellis will moderate a discussion of technology, leadership and globalization as the inaugural event of Young Presidents Organization / World Presidents Organization Legacy @ Universities on Sept. 3 in Edison Auditorium, Hoffman Hall on the University Park Campus, at 8 p.m.
Ellis, who is a member of the Young Presidents Organization / World Presidents Organization (YPO-WPO), will engage USC alumni and fellow YPO-WPO members Josh Berman, co-founder of MySpace; Kevin Tsujihara, president of Warner Brothers Home Entertainment; and Scott Adelson, senior managing partner of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin in a panel discussion that will cover the changing face of technology, business leadership and YPO’s significance in their lives.
The Young Presidents Organization is one of the world’s largest executive networks, which gives young leaders a forum to share challenges and experiences. Membership is by invitation only, and to be considered, a person must become the leader of a significant company before reaching the age of 45. At 50, members graduate to the World Presidents Organization.
The event is the first of the new Young Presidents Organization / World Presidents Organization Legacy @ Universities, a branch of YPO founded in 2008 by USC junior Daniel Altmann in conjunction with YPO-WPO Legacy Networks. The organization brings together the children of current YPO-WPO members to organize forums, charities and seminars that are open to all students at universities. The University of Southern California is home to the first chapter of Young Presidents Organization / World Presidents Organization Legacy @ Universities. It is expected to expand to several other universities this fall, including Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania.
