Keanan Duffty is a New York-based British fashion designer and musician. With an extensive background in collaborating with renowned brands, Duffty has collaborated with Aveda, Dr. Martens, Reebok, Ben Sherman, Gwen Stefani, and John Varvatos. Duffty is the author of The Fashion Entrepreneur (Hachette 2024) and Rebel Rebel: Anti-Style (Rizzoli/Universe, 2009). Duffty was educated at Central Saint Martins in London where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with 1st Class Honors.
In response to the invasion of Ukraine, Duffty brought six designers from Kyiv to present their fashion collections at Mastercard’s Tech Hub, during New York Fashion Week in September 2022.
Notably, Keanan Duffty partnered with David Bowie in 2007 to create a collection for Target, and dressed the Sex Pistols for their 2003 American tour. Duffty is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and served as the stylist for the 2016 CFDA Board of Directors posthumous Tribute Award to David Bowie, featuring Tilda Swinton and Michael C. Hall, with costumes by Kansai Yamamoto and Donatella Versace.
Keanan Duffty is the singer and songwriter in the band Slinky Vagabond, originally formed with Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member), Clem Burke (Blondie/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member) and Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon). Duffty regularly collaborates with members of Guns ‘n’ Roses and other notable names in music. Forbes lauded Duffty’s “King Boy Vandals” as one of the “notable albums of 2021”.
