A live viewing of the first Democratic debate, organized by the USC Unruh Institute of Politics. Food will be served at 5:30, and a live panel discussion will follow the debate. Students will be on hand to share their opinions.

A rhetoric professor’s take on the debate
Thomas Hollihan, professor of communication at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, plans to watch the debate and will be available to discuss it. Hollihan is an expert in rhetoric and political debate. He’ll be watching for how Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders attempt to distinguish themselves from each other, while Martin O’Malley competes them both for attention.
