The competitive Trojan spirit was on full display during the USC Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. In this video, tournament founder and USC senior Zack Wentz, who was paralyzed in a skiing-related accident at age 15, talks about his inspiration for creating the annual showdown.

Open to all students, the event on April 6-7 raised awareness of disability access on campus. It also gave students with physical disabilities a chance to revel in the excitement of athletic competition. The tournament is affiliated with Swim With Mike, USC’s scholarship and support initiative for physically challenged athletes.
