USC Leventhal School of Accounting student David Flores talks about the transition he made from soldier to student:
“I’ve taken some of the habits from being in the military and made them work for me as a student. For example, there’s always something to do in the military. So as a student, I keep myself busy and organized. As a combat vet, there are a lot of distractions and you have to keep your focus on your mission.”
After serving for more than four years of active duty in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne Division), Yellow Ribbon Scholarship recipient Flores is interviewed during his final year at USC, as he closes in on his dream of a college degree.
