WHY:  DPS has partnered with A Chance for Children and the Water Buffalo Club to establish a Little Free Library inside the lobby of the University Gardens Housing. This library will function as an educational resource for the over 100 school-aged children living in the complex. The Library will promote literacy and the love of books.

In its most basic form, A Little Free Library is a themed bookcase full of children’s books. Any child may stop by and pick up a book or bring a book to share. The University Gardens Building Little Free Library will be registered in a national registry where community members can locate the library online. All books are free for children of all ages.

To learn more about Little Free Libraries you can visit www.littlefreelibrary.org. The books will be re-stocked through generous donations.
