The annual conference of USC Rossier School of Education’s Center for Enrollment Research, Policy and Practice (CERPP) will be held Jan. 17-19 at the Marina Del Rey Marriott.

WHAT

In a time when universities and colleges must justify their pursuit of diversity with evidence-based practice, the 2018 CERPP Conference, with its theme of “Toward More Equitable and Expert Practice,” will feature new and emerging indicators of who students are and what they can do. Simply put, greater expertise will yield greater equity and better admission decisions. The audience will be comprised of leading graduate and undergraduate admission deans, campus enrollment policymakers, higher education scholars, K-12 educators, and state and federal policy makers.

Topics, questions and themes:

• Has it ever been more important to double down on our commitment to equity?
• What is the latest research and methods to achieve greater equity and expertise in admissions?
• What are the innovative models for performance-based assessments that better reflect K-12 student achievement and potential?
• How can you achieve a demographic dividend or greater diversity with admissions policy changes?

About the annual admissions conference

The USC Center for Enrollment Research, Policy and Practice hosts the annual conference. Executive Director Jerome A. Lucido has played a leading role at the national level in initiatives to improve college and university access for low-income and underrepresented students and to design and execute effective and principled college admission and enrollment management practices. Lucido previously held senior enrollment positions at USC, the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and the University of Arizona.
