USC experts from the Center for AI in Society are speaking before The Little Hoover Commission for its first hearing on the applications of artificial intelligence in California. The commission, an independent state oversight agency, is considering the economic implications of AI for the state and how it can be used to solve an array of problems.
USC experts will explain how AI has been used as an effective tool to disseminate public health information to prevent the spread of HIV among homeless youth.
Separate from the hearings, USC experts can speak to other tested applications of AI including public safety and security and for wildlife conservation as well as projects underway for AI to prevent substance abuse, and for artificial intelligence to help address topical public health issues worldwide.
