Andre De Grasse wins Olympic bronze in 100-meter dash
Allyson Felix advances to Monday’s 400-meter final. USC has 44 Olympians in Rio, the most of any U.S. university
Andre De Grasse 16 earned the bronze medal in the mens 100-meter dash and Allyson Felix advanced to the womens 400-meter final at the 2016 Olympics on Sunday.
USC athletes have now earned seven medals at the Rio Games three gold, two silver and two bronze.
De Grasse earned the bronze medal in the mens 100-meter final by taking third with a time of 9.91. Usain Bolt won the gold medal with a time of 9.81, while USAs Justin Gatlin took the silver with a time of 9.89. De Grasse, running for Canada, became the first Trojan to medal in the 100-meter dash since Don Quarrie earned a silver medal in 1976.
