Students of USC’s arts schools had their moment in the inauguration week spotlight at Wednesday night’s arts showcase.

The evening of performances at Bovard Auditorium and Alumni Memorial Park featured student work as well as multidisciplinary collaborations, including musical numbers, dance and theatrical presentations, standup comedy, short films and an art exhibition.

Featured artists and performers represented the USC Kaufman School of Dance, USC Thornton School of Music, USC School of Cinematic Arts, USC School of Dramatic Arts and the USC Roski School of Art and Design, as well as the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Also taking part were children from the USC Family of Schools — the primary and secondary schools near the two USC campuses — as well as the SoCal VoCals a cappella group and USC Museums.

The evening was part of a series of student- and faculty-focused events marking Friday’s formal inauguration of Carol L. Folt as USC’s 12th president.
