DPS officers, youth cadets help make holiday happier at turkey giveaway

The officers and the young volunteers pitched in at World Harvest’s annual pre-Thanksgiving food drive, distributing a variety of food including Thursday’s main dish.

Officers from USC’s Department of Public Safety along with children from the department’s youth cadet program helped out with Tuesday’s annual pre-Thanksgiving food drive and turkey giveaway at the World Harvest Food Bank on Venice Boulevard in Los Angeles. The event allowed the cadets to serve the community by assisting World Harvest, which tackles food insecurity among Angelenos and provides a variety of other services as well.
