Exposition Park hosts three-day Fourth of July carnival, fireworks extravaganza
The free event includes carnival rides, games, live music, food trucks and more
One of Los Angeles’ most popular Independence Day celebrations takes place right on USC’s doorstep all weekend.
The annual Fourth of July Community Festival and Fireworks Show will be held at Exposition Park, outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The event, which wraps up with one of the largest and longest fireworks shows in the state, attracts more than 20,000 visitors each year.
The free, three-day festival includes carnival rides, games, live music, food trucks and more from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The half-hour-long fireworks extravaganza, featuring more than 1,000 aerial displays and a tribute to the late singer Prince’s “Purple Rain,” begins at about 9 p.m. Monday.
The event is presented by Los Angeles City Council members Curren D. Price Jr. and Marqueece Harris-Dawson.
