More than 200 USC students spent their Sunday afternoon running, jogging and walking around The Row to support mental health programming at USC.

The first Row Run, held in collaboration among the Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Councils, Undergraduate Student Government and USC Student Health, aimed to unify campus organizations around the issue of mental health and increase awareness of mental health resources available on campus.

Broderick Leaks, director of counseling and mental health at USC Student Health, acknowledged that the semester has been difficult for students and praised participating students for coming together to support each other and such an important cause.

“When looking at this crowd, this is what the USC Trojan Family looks like,” Leaks said. “We come together, we support each other, we raise awareness and we build resources for our students.”

All proceeds from the 1.8-mile run went towards new and expanded mental health programming at USC.
