KDFC Radio names Maggie Clennon Reberg as Morning Radio Host

Classical KDFC in San Francisco is excited to welcome radio host and singer Maggie Clennon Reberg as the new morning drive host. Clennon Reberg, a Detroit native, comes to California from Chicago where she was a staff announcer at classical station WFMT.
Before settling into her radio job, she spent much of her career singing, acting and dancing professionally. She has performed with many Chicago-based groups including Lyric Opera of Chicago and toured internationally with the Broadway musical Sister Act.
She has a passionate belief that classical music is for everyone. Says KDFC President Bill Lueth, “Maggie’s background as an entertainer on stage and her insider’s knowledge about classical music makes her a perfect match for KDFC’s brand of classical radio. I expect that her fun spirit on and off air will connect with many fans who love classical music in the morning combined with a friendly voice on the radio.”
Of her new role as KDFC host, Clennon Reberg says, “I have been a listener and fan of this station for a very long time and feel like I am coming into a family of music lovers that I already know and love. I can’t wait to share music with my new best friends in the Bay Area and beyond.”
A national talent search for a permanent replacement morning host has been underway since Bay Area Radio Hall of Famer Hoyt Smith retired and the late Ray White departed. Since then, Jennifer Miller of KDFC sister station KUSC in L.A. has been hosting mornings. Her Bay Area fans will still be able to hear Jennifer’s voice on KDFC Saturday evenings from 5-10 p.m. Jennifer, a performing soprano, welcomes her new colleague Maggie with enthusiasm. “Perhaps there are some soprano/mezzo opera duets in store from us!”
Maggie Clennon Reberg will be heard on KDFC weekday mornings from 6-10 a.m. beginning in October.
