Tears and smiles as parents pen bittersweet letters to new students

It’s a USC tradition that can bring some parents to tears — literally. Amid the frenzy of Move-in Day, parents are invited to write a letter to their new Trojan, which will be delivered after classes begin. It’s a time for thoughtful reflection, words of encouragement, and enough emotion to fill the Coliseum. Take a look at some of this year’s proud letter-writers.
