Trojans shake it off during annual earthquake drill

The worldwide Great ShakeOut drill originated in 2008 at USC, which serves as home base for the influential Statewide California Earthquake Center.

Trojans dropped, took cover and held on during the annual Great ShakeOut drill on Thursday. When the alert went out at 10:19 a.m., many people practiced their earthquake safety moves, while many departments practiced their emergency procedures. USC is a leader in earthquake research and serves as home to the influential Statewide California Earthquake Center.
