USC, LAPD join to remember legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
Annual community breakfast honors the late civil rights leader.
USC has once again joined the Los Angeles Police Department in marking the legacy of civil rights leader the Rev. Martin Luther King.
The law enforcement community came together Jan. 9 at Town & Gown for the seventh Los Angeles Police Department Martin Luther King Breakfast. Among those joining USC President C. L. Max Nikias were Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.
The annual event precedes the King holiday, observed this year on Jan. 18.
