How USC Student Veterans Are Transitioning to College Life
Two homes on 32nd Street that house student veterans add to the many resources for military vets at USC.
Two houses that stand side by side on 32nd Street near the University Park Campus represent an important milestone for veterans: Theyre the first residential units for students who are transitioning from military service to civilian life, and they opened this fall.
Having affordable housing reduces a lot of the stress that veterans face as they adapt to being students and living in Los Angeles. The new housing is just one of the many ways that USC supports their academic achievement and well-being.
USC VETERANS ASSOCIATION
The groups membership includes undergraduate and graduate students from all branches of the military. It represents the voices and interests of the campus community and helps find opportunities and resources for student veterans.
VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER
Meet with a certifying official, connect with other students, learn about services available on campus and enjoy a welcoming space to relax and study.
YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM
Any veteran who is admitted to USC and eligible for the GI Bill is guaranteed full tuition coverage through the national Yellow Ribbon program.
MASTER OF BUSINESS FOR VETERANS
Specially designed for veterans, active duty and reserve personnel, this one-year program enables students to adapt their leadership experience to business and entrepreneurship.
WITH YOUR SHIELD
A new free certificate program at the USC Marshall School of Business connects veterans and their families to USCs resources for employment, education and professional development. Currently open to Naval Special Warfare personnel, the program is part of the Military Veterans Initiative established by USC Trustee William McMorrow.
USC ALUMNI VETERANS NETWORK
Open to all USC alumni who are veterans, the networking group strengthens the community through social, educational and service-oriented engagement opportunities.
USC MARSHALL MILITARY VETERANS ASSOCIATION
The student organization brings together business school student veterans in the MBA program. It strives to improve the reputation and success of student veterans in academics, career development and the campus community.
